Located by a large lake next to the Nederrijn River, Eiland van Maurik is a holiday park offering 270 camping pitches and chalets accommodating from 2 to 20 people. It’s a beautiful destination for families or larger groups, with attractions like glow-in-the-dark mini golf, karaoke rooms, a Beachclub, and a large indoor swimming pool. Even in your own house, camper, or tent, there’s no shortage of entertainment. Guests can enjoy movies, series, and TV channels, with fast internet provided by Hertzinger. Since 2019, the park has relied on Hertzinger’s expertise in TV and internet services. Lennard Kempers, the park owner, shares his experiences with Hertzinger.
Hidden gem
Boating on the lake, gem hunting at Maurik Mining, dining at the beautiful Beachclub, or skating on the pump track – it’s all possible at Eiland van Maurik, often described as a “hidden gem with very friendly staff and extensive facilities.” The holiday homes and camping facilities are highly appreciated, especially for their fast internet and television services. For 52 years, the holiday park has been fulfilling guests’ wishes, including the desire for good internet and enjoyable TV experiences, even while camping. “Nowadays, having fast internet is crucial so everyone can keep watching their series and movies,” says Lennard. Fortunately, thanks to Hertzinger’s services, guests always have strong internet.
From weak WiFi to stable WiFi
Before partnering with Hertzinger, the holiday park struggled with weak WiFi. “We noticed our technology wasn’t working well when more people used it. We relied on a radio link, and the more people came to the park, the worse the WiFi became,” says Lennard. “Hertzinger helped us with an internet system featuring a strong backbone, and since then, we’ve hardly had any problems.”
The renovation
Eiland van Maurik is currently undergoing a major park renovation, including the construction of a large Family Entertainment Center featuring glow-in-the-dark mini golf, hyper bowling lanes, an arcade/teen zone, a sports bar/Mauk Café, karaoke rooms, and an outdoor playground with play equipment for toddlers and interactive games for older children.
Hertzinger played a crucial role in this expansion. “We had a plan, and together with them, we figured out how to get stable and worry-free internet in the plaza,” says Lennard. “By the end of the year, we plan to further expand with more chalets, and once again, Hertzinger will be crucial in installing all the modems.”
Great collaboration
The collaboration between Eiland van Maurik and Hertzinger is going very well. “We chose to work with them because they were nearby and we had heard positive things about them, which I can only confirm,” says Lennard. “When problems arise, they are quick to help, ensuring everything is resolved swiftly so our guests can fully enjoy their vacation. With the forthcoming of Hertzinger, our park has become even better, and we see even more happy faces among our guests, which ultimately is what it’s all about.”
