Sun, nature, and home comfort
The ultimate vacation experience? For many holidaymakers, it means relaxing in the sun, enjoying nature, and spending time with loved ones. But what if you could combine this experience with the comforts of home, like uninterrupted TV viewing? The benefits of satellite television
It all started for Roan over ten years ago. With the expansion of accommodations across Europe, the quest began for reliable television installations. “We quickly turned to Hertzinger. The convenience of the network organization is remarkable. They handle everything: from the purchase of 32-inch televisions to installation. We don’t have to worry about a thing.” Thanks to a satellite dish on the caravan and an integrated CI-module, Roan guests can watch TV undisturbed even in the most remote campsites. This equipment directly captures signals via satellites in space, ensuring optimal picture quality. “Ideal,” Claudia remarks. “An additional benefit: the channel selection is extensive.”
300 channels via Canal Digitaal
Thanks to Canal Digitaal, guests have access to over three hundred TV and radio channels. “Our guests mainly come from the Netherlands, so a Dutch satellite connection abroad is essential. There’s also a wide range of German and English channels for our international guests.”
Internet via Starlink
But television isn’t the only demand from guests. In an era where streaming services are increasingly popular, a reliable internet connection is a necessity. “If a campsite has an unstable internet connection, it reflects immediately in the reviews. A stable WiFi connection has become a basic necessity,” Claudia explains.
Therefore, Roan is currently testing Starlink WiFi as a solution. This approach makes the organisation independent of the stability of the campsite’s network. Some guests staying at a Roan accommodation at Camping Het Genieten in Kaatsheuvel are already using Starlink WiFi in combination with a hotel TV, enabling them to stream Netflix, among other services. Additionally, Roan has launched another pilot project. At four campsites across Europe, Hertzinger has installed solar panels generating green and sustainable energy.
